The Shoes - Gilesgate

Opened in 2008 by experienced propriertors Lynne and Billy, The Shoes is a delightful, family run inn situated in the area of Gilesgate on the edge of Durham City centre. The pub is convenient for tourists visiting this wonderfully historic area or those who are commuting on business to the near by Newcastle or Sunderland.

This traditional bar offers excellent a vast array of cuisine made from fresh ingredients. The fully renovated bar also offers a superb selection of ales, spirits and fine wines. The large beer garden is the perfect place to enjoy a hand-pulled pint on sunny afternoons before enjoying a host of entertainment facilities and organised live events on an evening.
