The family home of John and Joan, your hospitable hosts, can cater for two guests, with a private ground-floor annexe holding a charmingly furnished bedroom, snug living room and a shower room. The guestroom, which can convert from a king-size double to a twin suite, also includes a balcony terrace which overlooks the river and town. Perfect for sunny mornings or gazing at stars by night.

The house is perfect for touring Teesdale. Both John and Joan are extremely knowledgeable on the surrounding area and are always happy to provide advice on peaceful walks within the local beauty spots. Follow in the footsteps of some of the renowned 'Romantics', such as Turner, Gilpin and Wordsworth, or explore the specialist shops and restaurants, there’s something for everyone!
