Cheeseborough House is a wonderfully restored 17th Century weaver’s cottage with many of the original features remaining, which adds to it’s character and charm.
The cottage consists of a lounge, fully fitted kitchen and dining area, two spacious en suite guest bedrooms and to the rear of the cottage there is a secluded garden and patio area.
Cheeseborough House is located in a rather tranquil setting in one of the oldest parts of Barnard Castle. Only 50 metres away from the cottage there is the River Tees and yet Barnard Castle’s town centre with it’s shops, bars, cafes and restaurants is only a few minutes walk away.
From Cheeseborough House you can easily visit the famous Bowes Museum, Raby Castle and Egglestone Abbey. Further a field there is the thriving city of Newcastle, the historic cities of Durham and York.
